Kristi & Sampson (Bullmastiff) & Odin (Boerboel) Kristi, owner of The Doggy Details, LLC, has been sewing since she was 5. She had formal training at 15 and has been a seamstress for friends and acquaintances for almost as long.

With frequent enquiries as a result of word of mouth, Kristi started "by kristi & co." in college to help her pay for school. She did alterations and customizations for fellow college students.

Kristi has always had a love for animals and is kept company by her husband and daughter and her "pack". Her pack consists of two dogs; Sampson, a ten year old Bullmastiff, and Odin, a 1 year old South African Boerboel, and two male cats; Benji, a DSH tabby, and Marco Polo, a deaf albino DSH. Boerboels are part of the "Mastiff family" and are a rare breed in the US.

Being a lover of large and giant breed dogs, Kristi is well aware of the lack of support materials out there for owners of these dogs. Kristi decided to utilize her training and creativity in sewing to create products for these animals.

In 2004, Kristi tried her hand at ceramic painting. She quite enjoys it and found that there were many people in her community of friends at The Big Dogs Porch, who were interested in having her paint custom pieces for them. Today, she paints pieces to order for people interested in a finding a unique personalized gift for someone - or for themselves.
